{"id":37320,"date":"2025-02-03T03:16:59","date_gmt":"2025-02-03T03:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundselectorasia.com\/?p=37320"},"modified":"2025-02-03T03:17:00","modified_gmt":"2025-02-03T03:17:00","slug":"pinebridge-appoints-new-malaysia-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundselectorasia.com\/pinebridge-appoints-new-malaysia-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"PineBridge appoints new Malaysia CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PineBridge Investments has named Angie Ng as chief executive officer for Malaysia, according to a statement released by the firm on Monday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based out of Kuala Lumpur, Ms. Ng will also serve as managing director, equities, reporting to Hong Kong-based Elizabeth Soon, head of Asia (ex-Japan) Equities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ng\u2019s new role, which is subject to regulatory approval in Malaysia, will make her responsible for PineBridge\u2019s Malaysia office and the firm\u2019s Malaysia Management Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She will also lead PineBridge\u2019s local equities team, and be responsible for developing investment strategies and portfolio implementation to enhance the firm\u2019s equity capabilities in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She succeeds Sze Peng Yap who, after 20 years with PineBridge, will transition to a senior adviser role, reporting to Kirk Sweeney, chief executive officer for Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on the new hire, Sweeney said: \u201cSoutheast Asia continues to be a critically important market for us, and Angie\u2019s extensive experience in team management and investment research positions us well in this fast-growing region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis strategic hire underscores our commitment to strengthening our presence in Malaysia and delivering exceptional value for our clients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining PineBridge, Ng served as investment director at the Malaysian Timber Council in Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has also held various leadership roles in equities investment teams at VCAP Asset Managers Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad, AIA Berhad, and SBB Asset Management Sdn Bhd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Angie Ng has been hired as chief executive officer for Malaysia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":75951,"featured_media":32170,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"newspack_featured_image_position":"","newspack_post_subtitle":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[18],"tags":[124,7631,1164],"series":[],"class_list":["post-37320","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-people-moves","tag-malaysia","tag-people-moves","tag-pinebridge","entry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.2 -
